Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday denied that his country's spies were responsible for surveillance devices found near the White House and other sensitive locations around Washington.
His denial came after Politico, citing three former senior U.S. officials with knowledge of the matter, reported Thursday that the U.S. government had concluded that Israel was most most likely behind the discovery of the devices capable of tracking cellphone activity.
NBC News was unable to immediately independently verify the report; the White House and State Department did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Netanyahu's office called allegations that Israel was spying on U.S. soil as "a blatant lie."
“There is a longstanding commitment, and a directive from the Israeli government not to engage in any intelligence operations in the U.S.,” it said in a statement. “This directive is strictly enforced without exception.”

I would be surprised if Israel didn’t spy on us. The US has wide and wild policy swings that could spell disaster for them. Likewise, we spy on our allies. Sometimes, like France, they do things that are not in the US’ interests. As Churchill said, “Countries don’t have friends. Countries have common interests.” Sometimes, those interests diverge. It’s important to know when that is about to happen so American lives and interests can be protected. You can bet that Trump had a head’s-up long before the French dropped an Iranian official on him at the G7. He probably already had his answer ready. It’s important not to let your boss be taken by surprise...ever.
I suspect the DNC planted the devices.

Sounds extremely reasonable but the biz is a treacherous one and to every one of the crewmembers that WAS the mission.
Yet the real mission, known only to one but probably to zero was much stranger:

The entire planet spies on the US and the US spies on the world. NBC is suddenly upset over Trump’s lax cell phone security but never raised an eyebrow over the last administration’s.
I would not be surprised to find out that it was OMAR.
