Despite of what the left-wing media wants you to believe, there is not an epidemic of mass shootings, or an epidemic of gun violence in general, in the United States. The data make this clear.
In fact -- and again, in spite of what many in the media would have us believe -- by many accounts, mass shootings are not even on the rise. Definitions of what constitutes a “mass shooting” vary, but using “standard definitions,” a recent piece in The Conversation -- an academic and research journal -- declares that “Mass shootings aren’t growing more common.”

Not one of the proposed gun control laws will take guns out of the hands of criminals.
Each and every one of the proposed gun control laws will take guns out of the hands of upstanding citizens.
If seems that the left’s intent is to disarm the upstanding citizens of our nation while doing nothing about the criminals who use firearms to harm others.
To the lefty idiots out there, control the criminals. Put them in prison and keep them there.
Actually prosecute those who are rejected by the NICS system who attempt to buy a firearm with a felony conviction.

Got that right. My 16 yr old’s son’s killer served 10.5 yrs out of 20 yrs, only because I fought 6 parole hearings. He was Beat to death so some Sociopath could get the his jollies of what it felt like to kill. Jeremy was Mentally and Physically 12 yrs old.
My best friend’s 8 yr old little girl, was Beat, RAPED, Strangled with her own shoelaces until unconscious, tied in a old blanket, thrown off the Wolf River Boat dock to Drown. Prep left his DNA in her torn up vagina. A pair of hands, a Penis, and a River were used to kill her. He’s had 2 jury trials, just finished his State Death Penalty Appeals. Feds haven’t set when his appeals there in Ohio start. Our Circuit Court is based in Ohio for Tennessee.
The State pays for his family to go to the hearings BUT NOT the Victims Mom who is sick, has that hernia mesh crap, and heart condition. She is on DSSI. Gets about $400 a month. The Illegals get more than she does.
There is no gun violence, there is human violence and everything else follows.
Gun Control = Category Error. Banning guns is as silly as banning aircraft after 9/11 or Pearl Harbor.
They [Anti Gun Laws] are not intended to solve or prevent gun violence or crime in the United States of America. Their purpose is the total and complete disarming of the American Public. This they will do. Only the Government and its Agencies will be able to possess and use guns. If this is what you wish for, continue to allow Anti Gun Laws to be passed.
Gun control proceeds from a false argument. The starting premis is that there are too many guns. I believe that there are NOT ENOUGH GUNS!
A civilized society always can be described as the law abiding vs the criminal. In a well ordered society, the criminal fears the law abiding. The law abiding have two means of invoking fear to the criminal. Option 1 is via the use of specialized cititzens who capture, prosecute and incarcerate the criminals (law enforcement, courts, prisons, etc). The second option is when a citizen fights back. The best tool for fighting back is the gun.
Many surveys of prisoners has show that the criminal is more worried about the home owner with a gun than the police officer on the phone.
