On Monday, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) asked President Trump to provide “political cover” for Republicans who will not otherwise support gun control. He said this during a press conference in which he announced that he and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) sent a letter to Trump regarding gun control.
Schumer continued:
President Trump has an historic opportunity to save lives by indicating his support for the House-passed bill [H.R. 8]. Speaker Pelosi and I have repeatedly and personally asked him to do this.”

Gun laws do not save lives. Look at Chicago and NY. Gun laws do get innocent people killed though.

As written, all gun sales would go through an FFL. This would certainly result in a federal gun registry. The bill as written is unacceptable and must be defeated.
Schmuck Fumer has already been caught on tape saying that paperwork would used to create a registry of gun owners.

Since Gephart betrayed Bush over taxes I am unable to support democrats on any promises they make.
Why would Trump risk his own re-election? ANY infringement, and he will LOSE in 2020. Count on it.

Schumer KNOWS that if Trump agrees with the Democrats, he will NOT get re-elected - PERIOD! This is one of the few things that will drive his base OUT OF THE DOOR!
