Michael Moore-backed Doc, ‘Planet of the Humans,’ Tackles ‘False Promises’ of Green Energy

LOS ANGELES (AP) — What if alternative energy isn’t all it’s cracked up to be? That’s the provocative question explored in the documentary Planet of the Humans, which is backed and promoted by filmmaker Michael Moore and directed by one of his longtime collaborators. It premiered last week at his Traverse City Film Festival.

This is a pretty encouraging article, it looks like Michael Moore is capable of reflecting on his own side. However, I will strongly disagree with this:

“It’s up to people who actually share the same values to sometimes call each other out and bring out the uncomfortable truths,” Gibbs said. “This is not a film by climate change deniers, this is a film by people who really care about the environment.”

"Climate deniers" are no people who hate the environment. We have just gotten to some of the same conclusions ahead of you.

Moore isn’t utterly hopeless as a film-maker. A couple of them are pretty good. They’re just not documentaries. No reason a protege of his shouldn’t be able to make a watchable movie. ( He’s still a wretched human being, in my opinion.)

Good old Michael Moore. He’s about to throw crap on one of the crown jewels of Democrat policies in the upcoming election.

Looks like he’s going to stick it to the dems in 2020, just like he did in 2016.

So true, and so important to hit back with. To this point, population growth is the biggest driver of any human impact on the environment. That said, US population growth is driven by immigration, legal and illegal. So, if 'environmentalists' on the left truly care about the environment, they would support stopping illegal immigration, and putting reasonable limits on legal immigration. They don't, and won't, because their 'environmentalism' is not driven by a desire to preserve nature.

I'd go further. Take a look across the globe at every advanced, industrialized country that is reasonably free. You will find that population growth in all of those countries has effectively stopped if you eliminate immigration. In fact, in some countries, (Japan is a great example), population is actually decreasing at an alarming rate. If these morons really were "environmentalists", they'd be pushing policies of freedom and free enterprise to bring the shitholes of the world up to our standards of education, prosperity, and liberty because only prosperous and free people have the luxury of giving a damn about the 'environment'.

Western-style prosperity would really be a two-fer for the Gaia worshipers, as they'd be able to recruit more folk to their religion, and also the population of the planet would finally stabilize, and most likely decrease significantly, thus putting less 'stress' on poor old Mother Earth.

Funny how this is the exact opposite of what leftists actually support. Every leftist policy is one that will stifle the human need for both personal and economic liberty.

" Every leftist policy is one that will stifle the human need for both personal and economic liberty."

Agree entirely. Also, behind all leftism, there are always the narcissistic self-promoting activists and politicians who are drawn to leftist politics, because leftism affords them the best opportunities to prop themselves up as messiahs and world savers - all the while ignoring and trampling on the liberty of other human beings. These are among the most selfish POS you can find in the world (think Hillary).
