I hesitate to admit this, but I believe that the Iraq War was idiotic and wasteful. I honor the young veterans of that war because they fought with courage and tremendous sacrifice - but it was the wrong war and poorly thought out at the higher levels.
I used to visit the wounded at Walter Reed and Bethesda and bring them gifts - and it was hard to see the grievous wounds caused by the IEDs.
Now, I'm not getting all squishy on you - I'm still the annoying blowhard I was a few minutes ago (I like the nickname "Windy") - but I will concede agreement that George W. was a pinhead.
