There exists in China a Social Credit system, which is used to decide an individual's status as regards the state. This system works much like a traditional credit score does in the way of permitting you credit to make purchases. Each individual is granted an original score of 1000, and loses points for each social offense. Social score decides what you can do and even what you can be punished for.
First implementation began in 2014 and it is expected to be fully functional by 2020. Social Credit information shall be used, among other things, to check who will be permitted travel access. Tickets for planes and train, and even taxi rides, are subject to checking of your social credit.
The Chinese government is boasting about the social credit system, and how thus far they have prevented 2.5 million discredited entities from purchasing plane tickets and another 90,000 people from purchasing high-speed rail tickets in July.
The United Kingdoms YouTube host Paul Joseph Watson outlined in his video Chinas TERRIFYING Social Credit the everyday behaviors Chinese citizens are having their credit scores lowered for engaging in:
Bad driving, smoking on trains, buying too many video games, buying too much junk food, buying too much alcohol, calling a friend who has a low credit score, having a friend online who has a low credit score, posting fake news, criticizing the government, visiting unauthorized websites, walking your dog without a leash, letting your dog bark too much.
The number of people not able to purchase tickets for means of travel is soaring, and as of November 2018 the number was at 6.7 million Chinese citizens.
People all over the world, not just in China, are seeing similar actions take place. PayPal will close the accounts of anyone it does not agree with

Heard there is efforts to go after Google and other tech companies by those who want them broken up.
Thanks! I never would put my email in a open, publically available web page unless it was a business site; and then I use a separate business address.
Truthoverpower, you might to go in and edit your page to remove you email address.
Jim, perhaps for member privacy, you could mask this field to signed-in users only? I don’t know how hard that would be to do, so I’m just checking. I do worry about the Left making lists on us...
Or outright revolt.
I have not done much on those pages.
Big Zucker is watching you!
HR depts already look at social media sites when checking on potential employees. They score.
The Sesame Credit system lets neighbors rat on you to social workers and political officers.
The more I look out over the horizon, the more I see outright obeisance to big brother.
I’m not real optimistic for the future.
I am much more hopeful.
But, this is why next year’s election is going to be very IMPORTANT.
For all have spoken, and come short of the gory of communism.
FR cannot be said to be an open book just like Facebook, since the latter requires real names (though some spoof it) while FR does, not, though some reveal theirs directly or indirectly (as I do).
