The GOP has done nothing at all to fire up Republican voters. Any and all losses are the direct result of their own inaction and cowardice in the face of the Socialist/CommunistdemocRAT enemy.

Bad economy favors challenge in the race and according to Bloomberg a great economy ALSO favors the challenger, at least as long as the challenger is a Liberal.
According to Lib Bloomberg all the good being enjoyed by the Hispanics in Texas (and elsewhere) will cause them to want to change leadership to something heretofore unknown because....because....?
I fail to see the logic in this, particularly when a booming economy should favor the incumbent. I guess people (even in Texas) want a bloated, corrupt, rotten celebrity money driven rule that will ultimately collapse under it’s own weight and contradictions.
It’s not the economy so much as the influx of transplanted Californians and New Yorkers. It’s like cancer. They infect the host and spread like the pernicious virus they are.
It’s happening everywhere.
I do not believe Texas will be even close in 2020, but I do worry about the next decade. It’s a matter of time with the massive influx of out of state migration for jobs and the mass movement from Latin America.
I would guess after Abbott, the governors races will start to get closer, though.
Texas or Florida and it’s socialism on steroids for America. I pray my home Texas will bring the voters from the rural to beat this back one more time.
That's because NoVa is a suburb of DC and thus its livelihood depends on Big Government spending.

Exactly. I am seeing it happen in AZ too. We are flooded with CA license plates and more likely than not AZ will go blue in 2020.

Funny, the economic boom was not created by any democrat but they cash in on it anyway. Like their hard work on the economy has earned them a win.
