The United States hopes to get back to denuclearisation talks with North Korea in the coming days or weeks, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Sunday.
"We know Chairman Kim has continued to make the commitment to denuclearise. We are hopeful that in the coming days or perhaps weeks we'll be back at the negotiating table with them. That's the best outcome," Pompeo said in an interview with ABC's "This Week."
Negotiations aimed at dismantling Pyongyang's nuclear weapons and missile programmes have stalled since the collapse of a second summit between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in the Vietnamese capital of Hanoi in February.
Trump and Kim met again in June at the border between North Korea and South Korea and agreed to reopen working-level talks, but that has not happened.

MacArthur was right. Shoulda nuked them back in 50. But the communists that were in our government then (and still are)prevented the quick end to that conflict. They’re not going to give up their nukes and eventually the South will become over run by more leftists and the North won’t even have to fire a shot conquering them. They’ll unify alright. With Lil Dong as the new Dear Leader.
I doubt it. When I was there we joked that we were there to keep the South from going North.
If Trump wants any success w/ DPRK he should dump Pompeo.
I think Kim would love to make his country “rich” because “someday”....the people will revolt.
