... That’s pretty much what former Democratic Rep. O’Rourke’s campaign is about at this point. He’s seen a revival of his fortunes by jumping in front of the cameras whenever there’s a mass shooting and saying that it’s time to confiscate America’s AR-15s and other so-called “assault weapons” via a mandatory “buyback.”
And does he think there’s going to be any trouble getting Mr. and Mrs. America to turn them all in? No, of course not. When he was asked about the logistics of his plan in Manchester, New Hampshire, he said that his mandatory so-called “buyback” plan wouldn’t include law enforcement coming to your house if you didn’t comply.
“No. I don’t see the law enforcement going door to door,” O’Rourke said in response to a question at the New Hampshire Democratic Party Convention on Saturday.
“I see Americans complying with the law. I see us working with gun owners, non-gun owners, local, county, state, federal law enforcement to come up with the best possible solution. I have yet to meet an owner of an AR-15 who thinks it’s OK that we have these kind of mass killings in this country.”

Funny?? how EVERY one of them will look you in the eye and tell you that removing 10million ILLEGALS from this country would be impossible as the logistics and manpower just doesn’t meet the requirements.
Then, without batting an eye or pausing for effect, they will look you deeper in the eye and say there is absolutely no reason why they can’t go door to door and confiscate 300million weapons from law abiding citizens who - for the most part - have absolutely no intention of complying.

Obviously, he's talking about guns here, but there's a bigger issue now: We are witnessing the whitewashing of severe lawlessness perpetrated by high officials of the gov't and the intelligence community. This doesn't 'encourage' respect and adherence to the law. It's quite the opposite.
Mr. Barr should take heed: failure to hold these people to account for their activities is going to breed contempt and deliberate non-compliance with more laws than you can shake a stick at.

and 99.999999 percent of AR 15 owners have not committed these mass killings...how did gun free zones work out? stupid is as stupid does.
If there was a rifle behind every blade of grass a lot of these mass killings would end quickly...he is a fool who thinks banning assault rifles will stop mass killings..timothy mcveigh, twin towers, jonestown, waco, etc...how has the war on drugs worked out, illegal drugs are available everywhere, all we would be doing is creating another contraband product- prohibition anyone, another expensive great experiment?
Well if the government insists, I would probably sell the two ar’s they know about, but they would only get the stripped lowers that were registered. The hardware would simply be transferred to one of the 80% lowers they know nothing about.
