Florida Sens. Marco Rubio and Rick Scott on Wednesday asked President Trump to waive visa requirements for Bahamians affected by the shattering blow of Hurricane Dorian.
The Republican lawmakers sent Trump a letter outlining their reasoning, citing their state's proximity to and relationship with the Bahamas. They asked Trump to make it easier for citizens of the Bahamas to come to the United States to reside with relatives while they rebuild their lives.

We can send aid and build temporary structures on the Islands and Nassau itself could shelter thousands; they don’t need to come here.
No.
No.
They are already here. Saw it this morning. Ready to vote RAT!
Amnestio Rubio will be pushing for them to be made citizens.
Same as he has tried to do for the rest of the 30 million already here.
no

No. Bad precedent.
Could we not fly them into San Francisco, and limit their stay to just that area?

Yep. Saw same in the Jax area while shopping on friday.
I don’t understand the reason, have them work on their island getting it back together, these people are needed at home. Even if they are not skilled, still need people to move debris, clean buildings/homes, cook/prepare food for the people working, etc.
This is stupid and counter productive.
Ever watch bar rescue? They did an episode on a bar in Puerto Rico, the host John Tapper, was upset with the owners because they just needed to throw out the rotten food and mop the floors, clean the tables, chairs, etc, it really wasn’t all that damaged and they could have reopened in a week or a few days.
It was pure laziness why that bar did not open, sure they were hit with a hurricane but the people of Puerto Rico had expectations that someone else was going to fly in and the do all the work.
Unfortunately we have been doing this for decades
Hell No
Why arent they transiting to a Commonwealth country- like Canada?
Bahamas is not considered a poverty hole.
Good time to stop.
