Once upon a time, corporate executives had a fiduciary responsibility to their shareholders. But I guess now the executives can tank the whole thing if, you know, if makes them feel good about themselves. Because that’s what’s important.

Yes, and that emphasis led to much of our manufacturing base being moved to China and the encouragement of mass immigration to the US.
