Weve been saying it for literally years, theyre just trying to do it incrementally and starting with the low hanging fruit. It all starts with universal background checks.
Everybody here needs to watch the video just to see the T-shirt he’s wearing!
Here is the plan from 1976 to ban handguns. Now the same group (Handgun Control Inc, now the Brady Center, is after rifles.
Rest assured if they get a ban on semi-auto rifles they will be back for the handguns.
From 1976.

Im convinced that we have to have federal legislation to build on. Were going to have to take one step at a time, and the first step is necessarily given the political realities going to be very modest.
Of course, its true that politicians will then go home and say, This is a great law. The problem is solved. And its also true that such statements will tend to defuse the gun-control issue for a time.
So then well have to strengthen that law, and then again to strengthen that law, and maybe again and again. Right now, though, wed be satisfied not with half a loaf but with a slice. Our ultimate goal total control of handguns in the United States is going to take time.
My estimate is from seven to ten years. The problem is to slow down the increasing number of handguns sold in this country. The second problem is to get them all registered. And the final problem is to make the possession of all handguns and all handgun ammunition except for the military, policemen, licensed security guards, licensed sporting clubs, and licensed gun collectors TOTALLY ILLEGAL.

Yes, Im for an outright ban [on handguns].

HCI, around 1984, came out in favor of a ban on semi-auto rifles and shotguns.
That meeting didn't last very long.
Good video. He explains it well.
Anti gun=anti God
I dont know what weapons the next war will be fought with, but the one after that will be fought with sticks and stones AE
Don’t worry, the Republicans will be lining up to sell us out.
Proof the only thing lower than a gun-grabbing dem is whale crap in an ocean trench following closely by RINO’s.
May their genitals, itch, burn, then fall off.
The fact of the matter is that there is not a politician in Washington, R or D, who would not be happy to see every American dis-armed.
Never will happen. There are plenty of folks with the machinery to manufacture their own weapons.
What you say may be true, but in no way negates my statement.
I can tell you who’ll lose.
I don’t think it will ever come to that. There may be another “assault weapons” ban with a grandfather clause.
We have to remember, this is the beginning of an election season...these people will say anything to try to capture a few votes here and there. They don’t truly mean what they say because in the end...we still have checks and balances.
Amending the constitution:
2/3 of both houses of congress to send to the states for ratification in which takes 3/4 of the states to amend the U.S. constitution. That my friends is a very high bar.
Good thing I don’t own any ‘assault’ weapons. Mine are currently all ‘defensive’ weapons.
