Sweden has been on the receiving end from some negative press and even a controversial tweet from Donald Trump.
Since loosening their immigration restrictions nearly a decade ago, then assuming a leadership role in opening their doors to migrants in the 2015 ‘Refugee’ Crisis; Sweden has, consequently, witnessed some undesirable side effects.
Sexual assault, robberies, bombings, explosions, violent crime, gang-related murders, etc, have all increased in recent years. Their politically correct approach to collecting crime data has left some superficial bafflement in ascertaining causal factors explain the uptick in crime.

We have the worlds first "feminist" government. Women get arrested for self defence now.

When government no longer stands against the abuse of the public by criminals, or worse, takes the side of the criminals against the public, vigilantism results.
Throughout almost all of its evolution, vigilantism remains non-violent. However, government sees the vigilantes as more of a threat to its power than it does the criminals. Only when the vigilantes are pushed to the wall, with its leaders arrested or killed, and its efforts to force the criminals to leave fail, does it become violent, both against the criminals and the government that backs them.
As a side note, for vigilantism to erupt sooner is better, as it is more likely to achieve its non-violent goals.
But in the case of the Scandinavian countries, their tendency is to store up their anger and hate, so when it does burst out, it is entirely savage and bloodthirsty.
That is, when the Swedes lose their composure, they won’t just drive out the hated invaders, but butcher them, man, woman and child.
