U.S. Border Patrol agents seized over 1,200 pounds of marijuana in a single incident.

Late Monday evening, Border Patrol agents assigned to the Special Operations Detachment working near Fronton, Texas, observed several subjects carrying bundles of narcotics across the Rio Grande. As agents approached, the smugglers abandoned the bundles and fled to Mexico. A search of the area resulted in the seizure of over 1,200 pounds of marijuana worth an estimated street value of $979K.

Additionally, over the past three days, agents stopped five marijuana smuggling attempts resulting in the arrest of six narcotic smugglers and the seizure of over 930 pounds of marijuana, worth an estimated $745K.

Border Patrol will process all subjects accordingly.

At the risk of being excessively nosy, might I inquire what would prompt your "trip to the ER for at least the 11th time?"

““Kine” is the Hawaiian word for “excellent”.”

The phrase is “the kind,” pronounced “da kine” in pidgen.

It can mean excellent, but if applied to a mainlander, “da kine haoli,” it means exceptionally stupid, ignorant of Hawaii, and irritating.

Da kine pakelolo would be very good mj.

we were assured that demand for black market pot would drop off once local “legal” supplies were established.

Pot is legal in only about 10 states - and in those states, every dollar of legal pot sales is one dollar less in criminal pockets.

vendors buy Mexican pot and blend it to make the supply go farther.

Marijuana in CO is monitored by CCTV from seed to Point Of Purchase. Not only would it be nearly impossible, the VAST majority of customers would know instantly they were being defrauded. Risking major federal charges and alienating your customer base to save a few bucks? Unlikely. This isn't China, after all.

I can’t believe anyone still even smokes Mexican weed.

Vaping is the latest trend.

1200 pounds woulda fit in my sailboats tender way back in the old days....nobody bothered from Colombia less than ten tons.....usually 40-60 tons..

From Louisiana to Cedar Key to Cape Sable to Nags Head to Port Judith .. Fortunes were made and lost......time handed out like staying after school just in draconian numbers of years...30 years for pot if you timed poorly for the 1987 Sentencing Guidleines

So smoking a joint helps you swallow? What medical treatment(s) are you supposed to look for in the future?

I've heard of a condition such as yours but no one told me that smoking joints, temporarily ease their situation.

That’s true, but Old School is the way.

But with young people vaping, old schoolers smoking kine, who the heck is smoking the dirt weed?

Probably the Mexicans, the ones that live here, I’m guessing.

But wait! FR’s own addicts assured us that all this illegal activity would surely stop once the drug is legal! That, and everybody would hold hands across America and sing “We are the world” and................

>>“WHO the hell uses all these drugs??”<<

The most widely used drug in the world and incidentally responsible for more deaths than all other drugs combined is consumed in bars/pubs. It’s called alcohol.

Those “Legal” supplies are taxed and regulated, so expensive.
Little Johnny dope-head cannot buy legally until age 21, but the cartels pushers will sell to any age.
