Seems to me that half of the active imposters on Free Republic are NeverTrump.
Would you be so kind as to provide for me a working definition of Never Trumper? I've asked before and didn't get much more than vitriol. But, hope springs eternal so I'll ask again.
The only thing more contemptible than a NeverTrumper in 2016 where he had real promise of shaking things up in DC, is a TrumpWorshipper in 2019. Don’t we all remember how we did that with the Bushes? These are HUMANS with many many flaws. Plus, three years later, we learn that one president no matter what his intentions are cannot beat the swamp alone.
The NeverTrumpers are members of the Globalist Elite who were onboard with ceding our country slowly to a global power. The elites believe THEY will be safe in a Clinton/Bush-directed super-centralized world order and Trump has come along and gummed up the works. Hillary would have sent these people marching closer to their goals and Trump with his nationalist policies is anti-globalist. This is why they detest him.
It really is basic human nature. Some people can NEVER admit they’re wrong. About anything. We all know people like that. Mostly liberal people.
The ONLY 'lifelong beliefs' men like Bill Kristol, Max Book, George Will and Jonah Goldberg etc had was a 'belief' in their cushy DC sinecures. Phony to the bone... opportunists who rode 'conservatism' to the benefit of their high lifestyles. NeverTrumpers are as corrupt as liberal 'elites' - but without the charm... a pox on their houses.
