TV journalism is the worst ever. Irresponsible, inaccurate and usually wrong. What would a TV station in Cleveland know about a Ventura boat accident?
I still say this thread should be deleted
The headline changed at source. It’s now been fixed and if one of you had bothered to report abuse, this would’ve been fixed earlier.
No....thats what WE said when he decided to run.
“A dive boat out of Ventura.
Ive been on it.
You sleep overnight and dive during the day”
Ahh, that might explain so many dead. They said it was about 1AM. So some may have been sleeping
The Conception I am pretty sure is a scuba diving charter boat that frequents the channel islands
True dat!
Now they’re saying it happened about 3am. So many of the dead could have been asleep
Save the crew first, and leave the passengers to fend for themselves?
After diving all day, you sleep pretty well. Bunks are below decks. I don’t recall if there was more than one way out of there.
Why delete a thread just because the sensationalized media has to be first!!!! with a story.
If it turns out not to be true, and hopefully it does, that should be come the story.
I simply asked if either the original source changed the headline or the poster changed the headline.
I also found it odd the posted headline had hyphens between each word.
I thought my post was respectful of the original poster. I didn't accuse him of abuse. I simply, and respectfully, asked for clarification.
All you had to do was scroll up and see that the headline had changed.
I recall news reports about the Yarmouth Castle fire in late 1965. That disaster was very similar to the Morro Castle fire which killed more than 100 passengers and crew aboard a passenger ship in 1934.
That may well be the biggest IF of all time!
Jolted out of a sound, exhausted sleep, in an unfamiliar place, dark as the bottom of a coal mine at midnight, smelling smoke, surrounded by screaming people, a forest of knees and elbows rushing to and fro, floor listing and rocking, cluttered with trip hazards, and totally disoriented?
Even if you bothered to notice where the exit(s) is(are) getting out could be challenging.
Reports now say the boat has sunk.
Prayers,,,
What you said.
