I have seen POTUS make terrible misstatements before and he always retracts or corrects within 24 hours.

But in this case there is a bigger design and it’s not what you assert which is that POTUS is part of the act.

The bigger design is that POTUS wants history to record that it was not he that locked up senior federal leaders and political opponents, it was the judicial branch.

POTUS wants no talk of the USA as a Banana Republic. His direct involvement in the incarceration of political opponents would paint the USA as just that.

The counter-intel group behind Trump has stated in months previous that POTUS would be kept out of it, above the fray.

There is however video of POTUS at his rallies with chants of “Lock her up!”. That could be a problem for history. So we’ll have to see how the script is written.

But the culprits including the hidden ones must not be allowed to go free, This is a war and if they are not thoroughly defeated, they will regroup and come back stronger.

I'll believe it when it actually happens.

So far they're all still roaming FREE.

Yes, they are still chanting that. But that was a campaign slogan way back when. Also, it was humor.
