IN EARLY AUGUST, I met with an NFL team that was interested in signing me as a free agent for the upcoming season. This was a big moment for me because, other than the love for my family, playing football again in the NFL is my dream. The team invited me to meet with their front office and members of their coaching staff because, even though I missed all of the 2018 season after suffering a shoulder injury in 2017, I feel the organization believes I have the skills and character to contribute to their success. What they know about me, they like -- but there was one very important detail about my life they weren't familiar with......

I am going to be 100% honest, I have never interviewed for a position in the NFL, MLB or any other national sports organization, but I have interviewed for several professional positions within several different organizations. Not once - NOT ONCE - did my sexuality ever come up! If it did, it was a casual, “my wife” or “my kids”, but I never thought that I needed to let them know what KIND of sex my wife and I or whomever have had - BECAUSE IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE JOB FOR WHICH I WAS APPLYING!
These people should become movie stars, because they all want the paparazzi attention and drama of those self-entitled, narcissistic POSes!!

It’s not like we never knew that the players slept with prostitutes or took part in orgies - should we celebrate their behavior too?
I didn’t care then - I don’t care if this guy’s bisexual now - but when you get into my face and equate that I have to accept your lifestyle as you play football that’s a whole different scenario.

its funny how people talk about their sexuality at work like it makes any difference to anything. If i talk about mine i get fired and\or sued for harassment. How does this fit in that picture. I couldn’t care less what your sexuality is. You’re a person. You will be treated with dignity and respect by me, not because you’re entitled to it, but because that is the person I am. But come on, enough of the double standards.

This is his setting up a lawsuit when no one signs a player for a 5-11 team. A player who was not even good enough to get on the field for that team. It is the Kaepernic way.
