“We conclude that Comey’s retention, handling, and dissemination of certain Memos violated Department and FBI policies, and his FBI Employment Agreement,” reads DOJ watchdog head Michael Horowitz’s report.
Attorney General William Barr said he will not prosecute Comey over his wrongdoing.
Comey claimed vindication in a pair of tweets following the report’s release, saying it “would be nice” of those who “defamed” him apologize privately.
“DOJ IG “found no evidence that Comey or his attorneys released any of the classified information contained in any of the memos to members of the media.” I don’t need a public apology from those who defamed me, but a quick message with a “sorry we lied about you” would be nice,” the ousted FBI chief wrote.
“And to all those who’ve spent two years talking about me “going to jail” or being a “liar and a leaker”—ask yourselves why you still trust people who gave you bad info for so long, including the president,” he added.

Barr needs to prosecute.
I expect Andrew McCabe to get a pass too.
Extremely disappointed
I’m tired of liberals always being above the law and conservatives guilty until proven innocent.
“It all ends in pizza.”
I was walking home on a hot July night in 2016..
I was Shot multiple times in torso.. I worked for the DNC..
I still had my..
Wallet
Cash
Credit Cards
Phones
Watch
Necklace
They called it a botched robbery and sue anyone who investigates it..
Who am I?
Well, youre not James Comey
His crimes were far worse, he needs to be prosecuted.
That does wonders to build confidence in our Justice Dept and FIB.
That’s OK, from now on the American Public will simply decline to cooperate with Federal law enforcement agencies.
His name was Seth Rich.
Extremely disappointing but not unexpected.I for one have completely lost any faith in our justice system and government.
It has been said that Barr is waiting for the FISA investigation report to begin real a series of indictments and prosecution. There is plenty to be revealed regarding Comey on this, but I feel like many others here, that the greatest overall political scandal and abuse of power in American history, is going to be let off with a slap on the wrist. God, I hope I am wrong.
Business as usual.
But, according to Gohmert, FBI Director Christopher Wrays approach seems to be to release as little as possible in a bid to preserve the credibility of the bureau.
Part of it is Christopher Wray who is dear friends with [former FBI Director] Mueller, dear friends with Comey, Gohmert said. It appears to me that hes been more interested and keeping quiet as much as he possibly can, and then hoping the FBI gets their credibility back, instead of rooting out wrongdoers and coming completely open.
Knew the fix was in....nothing will ever come of any of this..
Official end of the rule of law.
Wake me up when someone is indicted... for anything ... rip van winkle
Every defense lawyer in the country is celebrating. All they have to do now to win their case is suggest to the jury the FBI was involved.
Walking home late at night alone is never advised when you have knowledge of certain things.
