The OIG referred it to Justice for potential prosecution. DOJ declined. This is old news also.
There is no justice in our country anymore

It goes without saying that the DOJ can do whatever it wants to regardless of the report.
My comment stands. The OIG did not send criminal referrals.
The Justice Department is infected and this is a bunch of crap. Barr is as big a loser as Jeff Sessions. I guess we can all get away with just about anything these days.
We can’t. They can.
My sister is a big believer in that. She tells me how they are preparing the court rooms now in Gitmo. I just tell her that I am looking forward to it. She is passionate about it. I’m not sure where this stuff comes from. I know she will be disappointed when all is done with this stuff, but I will say nothing.
I guess what centurion wasn’t aware of is that the AG had already decided not to prosecute for releasing the material to the media. Yes, there should be more to come, but DiGenova stated last week to not expect prosecutions when the main report is released, which is still to be determined.
unexpected....
But, I will still get speeding tickets....
John Solomon said today on Hannity that his sources indicate NO grand jury has been assembled on anything Barr is interested in. This indicates no crime has been identified yet. Amazing if true. Federal crimes were committed by over a dozen of these anti-Trump deep state hacks.
Where in the report does it mention that he broke the law?
And before you say that he broke the law when he divulged classified information, remember that only certain classified information is grounds for criminal action.
I don’t think Comey will do so well in the matter of FISA warrants.

Nobody at the career prosecutor level in the DOJ wants to prosecute criminal Democrats to the benefit of Trump. It’s a beltway career ender.
Some reports suggested that the doj did not want to prosecute because it’s almost impossible for any DC jury to indict any anti-Trump characters, let alone convict. Is there any other way to put such crooks in jail?
Good point. Sad that our Republic has sunk this low, but a good point nonetheless.
I personally think that contention is floated so the pundits can avoid accurate description of the law. It's superficial speculation. Might be true, maybe not. OJ got off because blacks don't convict blacks. It's plausible that DEMs get off in DC, partly for no indictment (professional courtesy) and partly for partisan political reasons.
I think it is obvious that the law is political, To me, "rule of law" has the same sort of validity that "and they lived happily ever after" does. Discussion of rule of law as a matter of principle is purely academic, and of course the players all CLAIM to follow this rule - but truth be known, the "rule" is flexible by design, to facilitate two-tier outcomes. The rule of law is you get the outcome your station in life merits, unless that outcome will cause revolution.
Barr is playing 4D chess! HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!
Unbelievable, but believable.
Upon completing our investigation, pursuant to Section 4(d) of the Inspector General Act of 1978, the OIG provided a copy of its factual findings to the Department for a prosecutorial decision regarding Comey's conduct. See 5 U.S.C.A. App. 3 4(d) (2016). After reviewing the matter, the Department declined prosecution.

Have you read that statute?
Of course. Have you?
