The Justice Department inspector general is preparing to release a report on the conduct of fired FBI Director James Comey in the Trump-Russia investigation, according to a number of sources with knowledge of the situation. The specific timing of the report's release is not clear.
The Comey report is separate from a larger inspector general report on the DOJ's handling of the Trump-Russia probe. That report, sometimes referred to by Republicans as an investigation into "FISA abuse," is expected to be released later.
It is not clear why the inspector general, Michael Horowitz, chose to write a separate report on Comey.
Among other things, Comey has been under investigation for his handling of several memos he wrote memorializing conversations with President Trump. The memos began in January 2017, when Trump was still president-elect, and continued until April 2017, the month before Trump summarily fired the FBI director.
Comey's memos were, at the least, confidential FBI documents, and at most, in some cases, classified. Comey told Congress that he sent some of the memos to a friend for the purpose of being leaked to the New York Times. Comey hoped media reports would set off a firestorm that would ultimately result in the appointment of a special counsel to investigate the Trump-Russia matter.
That is precisely what happened with the appointment of Robert Mueller.

So the Comey report is supposedly coming at an indermined time followed by the main report later. Uh huh, yeppers. Skeptical doesn’t begin to indicate my thoughts about these so far mythical reports.
Move the national capitol out of D.C., and move it to Topeka, Kansas.

Actually, I was thinking black and white stripes and wool. Then ship him to Arizona for a chain gang outside during the summer months.
We could make it into a fun game. "Where is Comey today?" Once the road is located, then we could drive by and paintball him for points.
Just by reading the headlines says heads he goes to jail, tails he gets to use his privileged get out of jail card! He walks! Excuse my skepticism!

I sure do hope I am wrong about this but I have a feeling the following will happen:
This report will be released (or will it? It’s been coming any day now since Christ was a Corporal).
The media will outright ignore or downplay it.
Comey will be his usual smug self and continue to make comments about the “evil” Donald Trump.
The DOJ will then swing into action and honor the “code” wherein swamp critters protect swamp critters. Declination to prosecute will be the go to decision of the week.
Comey and McCabe and Stroke will press on with their lawsuits and some leftist Obama Judge will gleefully let them proceed and make sure they win as being “fired without cause.”
Jerry and Bug Eyed Pencil Neck will proceed to impeach Trump for obstructing justice by commuting the thought crime of believing he was being framed.
And the Clintons will sail off into the sunset.
We’re fixing to find out if we still live in a banana republic.
