They lie intentionally ... and will continue to do so until they are dragged into the light of truth by those they were oh so sure had been brainwashed by their brilliance.
But first they should be mocked and shamed.

This is a question that I have been raising about fringy libs for the last several years, and since I don’t know any of the ones who are actively engaged either in politics or in the media sphere, I have yet to try to drill down on one of them to find out.
I would posit the hypothesis that there is a mix of active liars and useful idiots. The main difference is that the former are the active indoctrinates, and the latter are among the more active members of the indoctrinated class. In many ways, this is a cult. They just don’t have a compound and take each other’s money (shhh... they take yours). Either way, whether conscious liar or willing idiot, they all believe the ends justify any means. There is no fair play. No good faith. There is only relativistic ‘truths’.

I think that’s the question we all ask ourselves every day and leaves us scratching our heads. Nothing they do/say makes any sense to logical, normal human beings. How can they be so dumb/numb to their own behavior?
I will go out on a limb and say that I don’t think they believe a word of what they’re writing - if it gets under someone’s skin - in this case, the president’s, then their objective has been met.
