Incoming Palestinian Harvard freshman has his visa REVOKED at Boston airport after he was 'questioned for five hours and officials found anti-US political social media posts by his friends'

Incoming Harvard University freshman Ismail B. Ajjawi, a 17-year-old Palestinian refugee living in Lebanon, had his visa revoked hours after landing in the U.S.

Ajjawi was admitted into Harvard in March on a scholarship and intends to study Chemical and Physical Biology

He landed at Boston Logan International airport Friday to start his freshman year

He was allegedly questioned for five hours, before immigration officials rescinded his visa and deported him

Ajjawi says immigration officers questioned him about his religious practices in Lebanon and searched his phone and laptop

One officer yelled at him saying she found social media posts by his friends sharing political views that spoke against the U.S.

Ajjawi said the posts were not his and he wasn't responsible for them

Yet his visa was revoked and he was sent home

He's is working with Harvard officials to restore his visa as classes start Sept.

Despite his defense, the immigration officer canceled Ajjawi's visa and told him he would be deported. Ajjawi was allowed a phone call to his parents before he returned to Lebanon.

Ajjawi is now in Lebanon and in contact with a lawyer and the university with the hopes of resolving his visa before classes start next Tuesday September 3.

Harvard says they're in contact with the family and working to bring him back to campus.

'The University is working closely with the student’s family and appropriate authorities to resolve this matter so that he can join his classmates in the coming days,' a university spokesman said.

Harvard's International Office employs immigration lawyers who work to resolve visa-related issues international students encounter. Ajjawi says he's been in contact with Harvard International Office Director of Immigration Services Maureen Martin.

He was coming to Harvard on a scholarship given by AMIDEAST, a nonprofit, which is now aiding him with legal assistance.

A couple of ideas:

1. Harvard’s endowment is so big, a few professors should fly over there, let them live there and teach him in person.

2. He can do remote classes.

3. Piss off.

Harvard has something like $39 BILLION in endowment or something... they literally could endow other universities...

Teaching how to make chemical weapons that Americans don’t want to.

You misunderstand the field of study.

What I don’t like is how everyone gets a lawyer and tries to force their way in. It’s the same with illegals, they run right for a lawyer.

It appears the American justice system works for everyone except Americans.

Good job! I’m surprised this happened at Logan. Of course, a lot happened at Logan on Sep 11.

I wonder how his SAT scores matched up against any white Christian male that was declined admission. Might be interesting.

Advances in the last four decades have revealed the atomic structure of proteins, enzymes, and genes; they have also revealed that the function of DNA, genes, and proteins are not nearly as simple or direct as previously assumed. CPB graduates will be able to supplement the traditional arsenal of biological techniques with advances in chemical and physical methods in fields as diverse as engineering, biomedicine, and mathematics.

I can imagine all sorts of ways to misuse that body of knowledge.

good, very very very good... but its only one case out of thousands of enemy agents, whether claiming to be Fakestinians or otherwise, being let into USA (and often...on very favorable terms like studying at our leading colleges— many with full tuition and room and board given to them!)

we are enabling, training (and in many cases, funding) our sworn enemies.. so that they can conquer and/or kill us all the better
