RRISDs superintendent Steve Flores explained that over the last couple of years, better supporting mental health has become one of the districts main focuses.
He recalled how several years ago, a student advisory board told the district they wanted to focus on mental health and suicide prevention.
And as the superintendent, I said, You know what, we can do other things, such as heart walks or other things like that, Flores recalled. They said, Actually what were seeing is that our parents and that a lot of our adults arent communicating well with us, and were sending a lot of signals where some of [our] friends have attempted suicide or have committed suicide.
Flores also proudly talked about the new mental health clinics the district is will be opening at two campuses: Round Rock High School and Cedar Ridge High School. These centers will be accessible to Round Rock ISD students free-of-charge. Licensed therapists will be at these centers and travel to campuses offering therapy sessions.

Well, parental consent is a step in the right direction except parents can't be bothered to sign much of anything these days. How's this FREE for the taxpayers? I fail to see how passing out t-shirts and staging walks does anything. Either way, this shouldn't be paid for by the taxpayers.
More of the same mental health program over at Pflugerville schools. https://www.kxan.com/save-our-students/program-to-raise-awareness-about-depression-launching-this-fall-at-pflugerville-isd/
For a second there I thought it read LSD
will they address cutting? crossdressing? sexual advances by older gay men? abortion for pregnancy from older adult men? sexual advances by teachers? Depression from being told 5 days a week 7 hours a day that they are “white devils” and responsible for all of the evil in the world today?
this came from the ESSA bill FED ED-thank Lamar Alexander the trans-Rep.
Hard to see a problem here - I can’t think of any FReeper STUPID ENOUGH to send their kids to public school, considering all that we’ve discussed here over the years.
If they pass this red flag s***, youd have to be insane to seek help for mental issues. Lets get you better, but first, lets get your guns. Gun owners would rather go undiagnosed and untreated, and so the problem gets worse.
As with many strange “we’re from the government and here to help you” actions, the dots keep connecting.
