Works for me. I’d rather pay more for less and pay Americans anyways.

You don't have to make that choice anyway.

Buy stuff made here, and you pay Americans for their products rather than to collect unemployment benefits, you support our infrastructure spending, and you support our military.

Buy stuff made in China, and you pay Americans to collect unemplyment benefits, you pay for China's military, and you pay for China's infrastructure.

On top of all of that you pay for borrowed money to pay for their stuff. Remember those economic stimulus checks we got from President Bush. It was a nice idea, but the money was borrowed from China, and the stuff we bought with it was made in China. That money bounced around in retail for a while, but in the end we paid China twice, once for the products, and again when we paid back the money we borrowed.

As far as I'm concerned when you factor all of this, we end up paying less for American made stuff.

Most companies won’t move to the US, especially those making products that require a lot of manual labor. Those companies will move to countries elsewhere on the Pacific Rim and India. Some highly automated assembly lines that assemble electronics might move to the US.

We have farmer markets every mile or so with fresh everything.

The cider mills will be spinning up soon. Mmm mmm mmm.

In 1972 my parents bought our first color TV. $350 dollars for a 19” with no remote. Today Samsung UN43NU6950 43” 4K UHD Smart LED TV $279.99

I’d happily pay more for a TV made here and not be supporting China.

The squeeze could further be put on China by lowering any tariffs or trade barriers on other countries that are not hostile to us.

I will fastidiously avoid buying ANYTHING made in China. When you think of Chinese products, don’t just think tools and hardware. They ship foods, meats, seafood; all kinds of stuff. And most if not all is probably dangerous. THEY DON’T LIKE US!
