A big fallacy of Sander's plan. The industry to create products such as planes, tankers, cargo ships and just about everything else is based on the carbon industry. Mining, refining, metalworks, lubricants, paints, chemicals, etc. are all based on the use of oil and coal. You can't create these products simply by using solar panels and wind-generated electricity. Products get created by the use of coal and oil. It is impossible to decarbonize our industries!

No oil, coal or natural gas to fire up turbines to generate electricity. No nuclear power plants to generate electricity. Yet, somehow everybody driving an electric car is going to be able to charge their batteries how? Oh, and Bernie says electricity will be free after 2035. Where’s it going to come from? Who is going to generate it? Are we only going to be able to watch TV on windy days, and only able to drive our cars on sunny days?

The first two points in the plan are mutually exclusive. Actually implemented (which it won’t be), the plan would amount to shutting down modern transportation, which would make it difficult to raise the trillions needed to fund the plan.
Venezuela set the price of electricity at 0.1 cents per kWh (most people here pay 12 cents before taxes). That worked out real good.
