Even when it’s not politics and it’s more sociology, CNN again misses the point.
Crazy cat ladies are not crazy because they own a lot of cats.
They own a lot of cats because they are crazy and don’t get them fixed.
They are old maids in waiting (even if they are in they 30s and declining partners/relationships). They compensate with affection from obidient pets.
I’ve known some (who were that way for decades). It is a thing.
And when they make up voices for their cats and dress them for non-costume events it is a bit of crazy.
Yep as believable as when they claim they are unbiased and fair.

Some people own a lot (whatever “a lot” means) of cats because they rescue them. Then they IMMEDIATELY take them to be fixed before bringing them home. They’re actually quite calming. For a few months we had eight cats/kittens that we rescued, and SPAYED and/or NEUTERED them. We’re down to five, and that’ll be the end of it. We’re too old to be rescuing pets that easily could outlive us.
I have three cats, no kittens. I do rescues and the pound ‘fixes’ them before I can take them home. Am I a crazy cat man?
