Justice Dept. again sides with Trump over House in personal financial records fight

The Trump administration's Justice Department has again taken President Donald Trump's side in a fight between him -- as a private citizen -- and the US House of Representatives over subpoenas for his personal financial records.

The Justice Department argues the two banks shouldn't have to hand over the subpoenaed information and accuses lawmakers of not taking the correct steps to seek the documents.

Totally bad faith demand whose only purpose is to gut him, his businesses, and his family by disclosing all his confidential financial records to the world with no legitimate legislative purpose. One of the 2d Circuit judges is a Carter appointee and two are GWB appointees.

It WAS Obama’s justice department. Holder and then Lynch protected Obama at every turn. No one can honestly claim that the 2017-2019 Justice Dept is protecting Trump. Thus this headline is really dishonest.
