Chinese missiles likely to cripple Asia-based US forces in event of conflict: report
South China Morning Post ^ | August 18, 2019 | Bhavan Jaipragas

If an armed conflict broke out between Beijing and Washington, China’s hi-tech ballistic missiles would likely cripple the United States’ military bases and naval fleet across the Western Pacific region within hours, a new report by Australia-based researchers has said.

With China making rapid technological advancements and sharpening its hard power, the report urged the US and regional allies such as Australia and Japan to overhaul military investment and deployment plans, or face the prospect of American “military primacy” being undermined by the Asian power.

Six shots a minute was the highest fire rate I have seen published for any seaborne laser system, and that only if the ship is dumping its entire generator capacity into charging the laser. The Obamanavy cancelled funding into the fusion reactors that would have enabled the system to charge faster and we no longer have any nuclear fission powered destroyers or cruisers to mount it on.

Average Americans have no heart or experience for war, they just want to eat their popcorn and watch the game. China is going to roll right over us.

We have diversity, China has homogeneity in terms of societies.

With what the left has done in labeling whites as racists and neo Nazis, our diversity may well work against us in the future.

Looks like the USA is ready to break out quickly from the INF Treaty, and counter China’s developments:

http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3772939/posts

In just weeks, we have already tested a ground-launched version of the Tomahawk Cruise missile (it works).

“the Pentagon has said it also intends to begin testing, probably before the end of this year, an INF-range ballistic missile with a range of roughly 3,000 kilometers (1864 miles) to 4,000 kilometers (2485 miles)”

At this rate, it might be possible to start deploying/selling/giving some to allies in the region next year.

You are exactly right, that is one reason the U.S. is so weak as a country right now. As “Civil War II” continues to heat up, our enemies will take advantage of that any way they can.

I actually watch Mainland Chinese TV dramas (subtitled in English) which I get via the Asian streaming service Viki (also sometimes from other services in Japan), so I know for a fact they have all their people educated to believe that the U.S. (and other countries, especially Japan) stole everything from China and destroyed its culture, so they have the right to now “rectify” that. You just have to watch Chinese TV for a little big to realize that all the stuff in the Western media about China and Chinese being backward is a total myth. They are perfectly well informed about everything in the West, but they believe they are on a mission to restore China to its former glory.

I have a Chinese Tokarev that shoots like a dream if you can rack the slide without tearing your fingertips off.
A Chinese copy of a C96 Mauser that is beautiful and hand fitted to a velvet lined case with all the accessory’s.

To bad the thing shoots high and wont field strip.

They do go BANG.

And I cringe to think of the US losing several thousand sailors in one day. I am not sure the country could handle that—no matter the reason.

The American public wasn't told about the true extent of damage and loss of life on December 7, 1941 until a year later - six months after the Battle of Midway halted Japanese momentum. That was when the press wasn't openly hostile to this nation.
