Almost all the other remaining candidates are dangerous too. The less dangerous ones have no chance of being nominated for POTUS or VP.

So who’s going to do the disarming? Show me one state where the PTB’s are talking confiscation. Red Flag is a scary prospect, but it comes down to how many hired goons will need to be unleashed against the citizenry.
And the states which have mandatory semi-auto registration also have massive noncompliance & haven’t deployed their flying monkeys yet.
Not being Pollyannish, just using my still intact military mind which says such major operations require detailed planning, manpower projections, and most of all - logistics, logistics, LOGISTICS involving a huge commitment of resources.
Plus the realization that any knocked-upon door is going to have an angry gun owner behind it whose reaction will be very unpredictable and the knocker wants to go home at night.
