There is more than enough food in Russia to go around. I dont know about soybeans specifically but agro exports have been going through the roof lately.
I agree that their agriculture is growing, and has the potential to grow a lot more, but they are still importing food as well. This growth in global output will put great pressure on prices as well. The US, IMO, has a greater internal demand than Russia does, so the ability to absorb production is also greater. Plus never underestimate the ability of state run places like Russia and China to screw things up in the name of progress, of course we are pretty good at that ourselves.
