Don’t feel bad. A customer asked to see a pair of shoes in his size. Another employee and I went out of our way, looking through the stockroom, to find his shoe size. He was very appreciative: “Thank you.” He smiled. We found out later he was a known thief and those shoes had walked right out the door with him.

Pelham, I have finally decided to remain within the female gender. If it snowed here more, I’d reconsider. It is way harder for us girls to take a pee in the snow.
Pastor Pete, Peter Weissbach. I loved his show, and the concept of life energy still influences my thoughts on this today. I will never think of “things” as “easily replaceable” again. Some things are not worth defending physically, or with extreme measures. The owner of the things should be allowed the dignity of being able to protect his things though.
I don’t know how much the “squawk box” radios that the police carry around are worth, but guess $200 or less. If a punk reaches into a squad car and runs off with a cops communication device, I am thinking the police may use some level of violence to get it back.
If someone takes a shotgun out of a squad car, the cops will shoot him sure as shootin’.
