I just happened to read about a new media company, which is seeming to be different.
I do not know much about it, and might be totally wrong about this. But they seem to be creating something of a shock wave in their takeover of several sort of, relatively well known media outlets.
Including, ironically, the Onion.
And perhaps, some sort of connection with Peter Thiel? (maybe)
I don't know. Just know we have for DECADES wondered why some conservative, has not stood forward.
Is this that move?
Sorry if not. Just asking honestly.
I once heard it would cost $2 billion.
And THIS is the search engine we have been waiting for...try it. Owned and managed by folks who would make great freepers...heck, they may be here.
Bill Mitchell is moving to Miami to become a part of Yippy.

Hardware and staff overhead is one aspect, but the killer is covering off the copyright claims. People post memes and videos and music that they love/favor. People post their own stories, graphics and music (if they are creative) and they get ripped off.
So the main places such as goog/fbk/twitter seem to be immune legally from copyright claims as they are just platforms, not publishers who gatekeep the content (which we know is a fraud).
Good wishes.
But the secret is in my (forget the word).
Anyway, a susceptible audience is what the marketers pay for, and that ain’t conservatives.
I’ll check it out.

One successful move for me is from Google Chrome and Edge browsers to BRAVE
https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/
Brave is open source, will never spy on you, blocks so many trackers, and more but the one thing for me is that it’s so blazing FAST!
I do indeed like the Brave browser....
Thanks for the other link my FRiend.

Here is another part of the story.
“Deadspin EIC Megan Greenwell resigns, G/O Media editorial director suggests site will now be laser focused on sports”
https://amp.awfulannouncing.com/online-outlets/deadspin-eic-megan-greenwell-resigns-go-media.html
There was also this, seems more mainstream, but frankly not as interesting:
Deadspin editor Megan Greenwell is leaving the site - The Washington Post
Sorry those links were both google links, seems the links were made non-working by the change.
Here are the two original links:
Theil is worth 2.5 billion, so that’s cutting it close.
Would be truly ironic if in the end (no pun intended) it was a guy married to a guy that produced an even handed show.
Well, God works though sinners too and there’s always hope for redemption.
No idea. Here is another article.https://www.thedailybeast.com/deadspin-editor-quits-rails-against-bosses-ive-been-repeatedly-lied-to-and-gaslit

But doesn’t youtube/google sell a “for pay” version of youtube that includes the ability to download content? Isn’t youtube-google selling downloads of copyrighted material?
They better have super deep pockets.
I’m talking $4-5b for the first five years.
Fox was an established media/movie company when it began Fox television. They rolled out one night a week with really innovative programming (”Married With Children”) and gradually expanded to other nights of the week-—but not 24/7.
I always go back to Henry Kaiser, who was the shipbuilding wizard in WW II. He started a car company that actually had positive sales . . . and yet failed because he was way undercapitalized.
I think this was one of Glenn Beck’s problems too. He had a really huge facility and no programming and not nearly enough capital to sustain it.
You can change the audience. But it takes a long time and tons of money. I’m guessing a new media company would have to be capitalized for 10 years and take losses for five.
The Root and Jezebel? Seriously leftist sites there.
!
Revealing himself to be a fraud (long before he was a NeverTrumper) didn’t help him, either.
