Mayor de Blasio urged troubled city cops to seek help from ThriveNYC amid the NYPD’s suicide epidemic — days after the mental-health initiative spearheaded by his wife bailed on an event for first responders, The Post has learned.
“There is no feeling worse than wanting to help someone and not knowing how,” wrote de Blasio in a department-wide e-mail, a copy of which was obtained by The Post, in which he recounts losing his World War II-veteran dad to suicide when the future mayor was 18.
“Yesterday, we lost our eighth NYPD officer to suicide this year,” wrote de Blasio in the Wednesday letter.
But just hours after the mass e-mail went out, that tragic number grew to nine as 56-year-old Robert Echeverria, a veteran Strategic Response Group cop, fatally shot himself inside his Queens home.

DeBlasio isn’t sincere.
He needs the police, but he also needs his criminal auxiliary shock troops.
Ultimately, he’d like to be head of a political regime where the police are political police, reporting to secret police, who would report to him. It’s the top-down leftist model, which is a bait-and-switch from the egalitarian leftist come-on.

First, I don’t think there is a sincere bone in Di Blasio’s body. Second, I am wondering has some laxity occurred in the screening of candidates for the police force. Third, if not that then what are the changes in the conditions from which the spike in officer suicides has been obtained?
Father please watch over these guardians. Let them know they are loved and appreciated. We know they see things every day that eat their souls. We ask that You heal them daily so they remain strong and whole while they continue to do Your work.
Only You can see their pain in time to save them.
DeBlasio is just a more blatant Democrat. He is Mayor of NYC, now someone rational try to stop him! Giving beaucoup bucks to family members? Just SOP for the hypocritical Left. DeBlasio is just giving a little lip service to the LEO Community. They know how he really feels. Prayers for their strength in the face of mounting PC pressure.
My neighbor up the street is LEO and the city isn’t doing much in the way of budgeting for the police deptartment yet they are doing mandatory OT constantly. Money for OT but not new officers? Typical.

Think about it: this incredibly stupid, unqualified econo-sized sack of excrement wants to run for president. He can't scare up enough donors to have a poker game, let alone provide him the necessary funds to run a campaign. Lesbian wifey has nothing better to do than head up a mental health project for which she is utterly unqualified. Bingo! He hands her $850M and she "loses" it among myriad sub-projects and groups. No measurable signs of people successfully treated through one of THRIVE's groups are to be found. They should both be locked up.
