remember the Supreme court has ruled that schools own the children during school hours.

And schools extend school hours with homework and activities.

If I were parents and grand parents today I would be working to make homeschooling and casual private schools a priority for their families. I would move to low tax areas, and ignore school rules.

Leave the systems totally.

I don't even bother reading this sh!t anymore.

I've been saying for years that public education should be eradicated completely in this country. Government-run "education" is completely incompatible with the basic idea of a free nation.

The Keck family needs to move out of that school district. Then, when out of their reach, the parents should find another educational environment or homeschool HER.

Homeschool bump.

California public schools are child abuse.

My sister was named after my Dad. Anyway, when it came time to attend school, she would get placed in the boys gym class. Of course the error would be corrected as soon as she showed up for the class. The third year my mom told me to check on my sister to make sure she was in the right gym class. As I peeked into the gym, there she was and looking confused. She didn’t ever speak up for herself — never did. She actually had more fun doing the things boys liked to do, like climbing trees. Anyway, thank God that was years ago — since she became the sweetest, most caring, understanding wife to her husband, her pets, her friends, her children. She didn’t care for frills or the more feminine choices never cared about looking sexy or any of the worldly choices — but a female she was. I miss her so much.

Public schools are an arm of the government. They are financed by extracting money from those who own property. Their purpose is to promote the leftist agenda, especially the part about preventing parents from teaching their kids right and wrong.

“Most parents were outraged.”

While there are compulsory education laws throughout the United States, I don’t know of any that FORCE parents to use public schools, at least not yet.

So the parents here all made a choice, they prioritized ‘keeping up with the Jones’ over the chance for their kids to have a more normal childhood. Parents get to make that choice these days, and it is a CHOICE, as the government education establishment simply WILL NOT allow them to have it both ways (i.e., allowing kids to grow up unmolested and not having to directly pay for them to be educated).

So, really, nothing to bitch about here - it was an expected ‘outcome’ (to borrow some ‘educator’ terminology).

You know John Wayne's real first name is Marion. In Germany this is strictly a girls name, and you can not name a boy with that name. Also you can not name a baby with a ridiculous name, because the child is stuck with the name his entire life.

My late twin sister's name for example was Gabriele. A boys name is Gabriel. You are probably familiar (not personally) with the late actress Michael Learned who played Olivia Walton in the Waltons. The feminine name would be Michaela.

The good thing here in the states is that you can change your name legally. Not in Germany. I could have changed my name when I became a citizen in 1977, but my parents would have never understood.

Besides although I hated my name when I grew up; what child does not? I learned to like it as it is a very old Germanic name.

the late actress Michael Learned

Always billed as MISS Michael Learned. Otherwise audiences would never have figured it out.

I went to school with a Michaelina. You could have named her Boris and it would have still been obvious she was a girl. She had all the assets to keep a bunch of 16-year old males totally distracted during the school day.

Sadly, there is no choice about the citizen funding government schools. School taxes paid by businesses are passed along to the consumer in the form of higher prices. Those who rent pay the taxes in their rent payments.

Government schooling never was, and is not now, religiously neutral. It can’t be. Such a state of philosophic neutrality cannot exist in the mind of any sentient human.

Therefore:......An axiom! Government schooling is a First Amendment and freedom of conscience abomination.

Government schooling could be shut down tomorrow.

There are many states and counties in this nation where, If Christians and observant Jews removed their children and voted to defund the government schools, the system would immediately collapse.

"These are children. And yet the teacher did not ask permission to hand the worksheet out. Most parents were outraged. "

Congress to the rescue! /sarc

From related threads…

Congress has the express constitutional authority to not only make sure that things like parent’s expectations about what they’re children are taught by state actors are respected, but also that state actors respect constitutionally enumerated protections, 1st Amendment-protected freedoms of religious expression and speech in this example.

14th Amendment:

H O W E V E R…

We’re still stuck with a worthless Congress left over from the lawless Obama Administration that will predictably not lift a finger to make penal laws to discourage renegade states like California from ignoring voters, local parents in this example, and abridging their constitutionally enumerated protections.

The remedy for constitutionally failed federal and state governments…

All patriots in the nation need to come to the rescue of citizens being oppressed by activist states that ignore constitutionally enumerated protections, California state citizens in this example, by doing the following.

Patriots need to elect a new patriot Congress in the 2020 elections that will not only promise to support PDJT’s vision for MAGA, now KAG, but will also do the following.

New patriot lawmakers also need to promise to do their duties to guarantee each state a republican form of government and exercise their express 14A powers to make penal laws to discourage state actors from abridging constitutionally enumerated protections.

Remember in November 2020!

MAGA! Now KAG! (Keep America Great!)

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

1st Amendment-protected freedoms of religious expression and speech in this example.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

ALL ( yes, **all**) government schools are a First Amendment and human rights abomination. Why?

Reason: Because it is IMPOSSIBLE to have a religiously, culturally, and politically neutral education. Such a state of philosophic neutrality is impossible in the mind of any sentient human.

Simply by existing government schools suppress speech, press, and free expression of religious belief, and free assembly.

Government schools violate the First Amendment rights of the parents whose children are under police threat to attend these non-neutral schools.

Government schools violate the First Amendment Rights of those who are police, court and prison threat to support them through taxes.

Everyone pays school taxes. Renters pay in the form of higher rents since the landlord passes these property taxes in the rents.

Businesses pass their property taxes along to the consumer in the form of higher prices.
