We did get to go to the raptor show. They had four different types of birds: a barn owl..which is much prettier in person, 2 little tiny screech owls, the kestrel and a red-tailed hawk, that was bigger than I thought it would be. Here is one of the pictures I took of a darling little kestrel.

Glad you got to go this year since you missed out on the birds last year. Too bad they didn’t have an eagle but the birds they did have were plenty cool enough.
Red-tailed hawks are pretty large birds. We have a lot of them around here. One year, there was one that tried to take off with a couple of our cats and it hurt one pretty badly. Fortunately he recovered nicely and was able to walk again but he never left the deck again except to go a few feet into the yard to potty. After a little while I brought him inside where he lived happily the rest of his life.

The kestrel in your pic is just too cute!
