President Trump signed Sen. Kyrsten Sinema's bill July 25. The proposal closes a loophole in federal law that allowed some veterans to get caught up in predatory home refinance deals.
The problem was certain VA loans could be easily churned, or resold. The new law prevents that from happening before a cooling-off period.
"So veterans won't get stuck with these refinancing fees over and over again," said Sinema.

Many thanks to the awesome FReepers who still commented on the thread. Hopefully they will find this one. :)
Legislation like this becomes necessary because every group attracts predatory scumbags to prey upon them.
Kyrsten Sinema is turning out to be a trojan horse.
This is the second time she has gone against the party line.
That can't be said of almost anyone in Government today.
Amazing.
What’s not to like about a senator that wears a short dress and tall boots the first day in office...
It won’t last.
As soon as they pickup the other AZ Senate Seat, you will see the real RAT.
Watch her. She is a vote for Schumer majority leader. This is how a red dem operates
I am actually beginning to see a little hope for her. Maybe Arizona voters knew what they were doing when they elected her over a Bush League Republican.
“This is the second time she has gone against the party line.”
More than the second time. She has more balls than anyone else in that party, including Manchin. I don’t know, maybe Shuemer has Epstein info on the other Democrats, as he certainly has them locked-down.
A democrat who respects Veterans is rare. But apparently she is actually listening and working for who she represents like you say. And the Veteran issue is big in Az.
“I am actually beginning to see a little hope for her. Maybe Arizona voters knew what they were doing when they elected her over a Bush League Republican.”
I wouldn’t go that far - she still doesn’t come close to even the worst RINO in the Senate. She’s still on board when Shuemer needs her...although she’s also free agent when he doesn’t need her.
Yep...
Right. During her campaign I was worried about her. She’s turned out to be a nice surprise.
Same here. :)
Well, that other senator is making is easy for them... I'm from Arizona, and I don't even remember her name, but...
She was the first female fighter pilot...so vote for her!!!

Much better than I expected.
What the heck has McSally done lately?
Well said Dave :)
