I think there may be a definitions problem here...

a. "Natural" gas, that comes spewing out of the ground
b. "Natural Gas", that is delivered to homes, etc.

I'm not a petro-chemical engineer, but I have a sneaking suspicion that a. and b. are not the same thing.

You’re correct. The gas that comes out of wells is processed through a stripper to remove most of the high value gases. People heat their homes with what’s left, methane, unless they happen to live in on land with a well with free gas rights or close to wells.

There are some types of natural gas that are defined as 'wet' gas that have more components than just the gas used for burning in your home.

This 'wet gas' is more valuable because there are more uses for it in our industries {which is the reason for this plant}.

PA, OH, WV and NY {but they don't use their gas} have been blessed with our natural gas supply. The region is working and people are happy.
