Well stated. Given the current environment, what is the difference between what this guy did and yelling fire in a crowded theater?

I said it before, open carry for a guy like this is BLING... (look at me, I have a big gun). He may have the ”right” to open carry, but he doesn’t HAVE the ”right” to tarnish the 2nd Amendment which a STUPID action like this does. A GUN isn’t for BLING. This kind of childish action hurts all of us on the gun rights side. I carry every day and NOBODY knows it but me.

...could not agree more....! a few days ago, a young fellow was seen in our neighborhood with a shotgun slung over his shoulder. Scared the “you-know-what” out of the neighbors and they called the local police, who did come and speak with this fellow. His shotgun was unloaded; but nonetheless he caused a lot of anxiety in the neighborhood. When questioned about this, the police responded that they really could not do anything; he has a right to open-carry this gun. Again, a self-serving kid or a potential shooter...??

I’ll probably drive some of the 2A folks on here a bit mad over their “God Given Right”. Which was given to them by the folks that wrote the Constitution based on their Judeo-Christian beliefs and their desire to make sure no government can forcibly impose its will on the people, as the King did.

I got quite a few guns. Have quite a bit of ammo. No problem buying more of each, intend to do so when I get back to the US. I’m a huge supporter of the 2A. I think the NFA is absolutely ridiculous, as it doesn’t really prevent ownership of anything, just makes it more expensive so the ATF can pocket $200 every time someone fills out a Form 4.

However, I am not a fan of Open Carry. That might go back to the days when I was a detective, not sure. But, no one looks like more of a clown than the guy in the grocery store, buying some cereal, letting the world know that he’s got a pistol.

I’ve taken a class with the man. One of the most laid back guys I’ve ever met in the gun/shooting world, but has a resume that can be made into an action movie(and has). And can handle a rifle and pistol like nobody’s business.

Don’t make any waves. If we exercise our 2nd amendment rights quietly and don’t draw attention to them, maybe the left will let us keep our guns. /s
