SLIPKNOT frontman Corey Taylor has clarified his recent comments about the widespread availability of guns, saying that he does not have a problem with "responsible gun owners" or the Second Amendment.
Last week, Taylor gave an interview to the U.K.'s Independent in which he pushed back against politicians trying to blame music, movies and video games for the recent spate of mass shootings in America, while also deflecting blame from the availability of guns. He said: "Music is an easy target because [people in authority] don't understand it. There's a complete lack of effort to try to understand it, and a lack of willingness to take any portion of the blame for these events."
Taylor also cited the rise of hate-filled rhetoric against people of color, immigrants and LGBTQ people before adding: "There are too many f*****g guns in America. I could walk outside right now and find a gun within minutes. There's a very toxic gun culture here, it's a cult, and it worries me."

I have no idea who these “people” are...and I am proud of it.
I have no idea who he is, or who his group is. And I couldn’t care less what he has to say...about anything.
Thank goodness, I was worried what Slip Knot might think. My whole gun collection hinged on their words. Glad that is resolved.
My late Aunt Violet babysat those guys when they were young. Watch “Duality” that’s maybe 3 doors down from her house in Des Moines.

That is kind of funny, because "What does Corey Taylor think about this" has been a meme for some good amount of years now.
He's apparently some sort of musician philosopher or something.
***about the widespread availability of guns,****
GUNS were more available before 1968. Every store carried them, hardware, sporting goods, grocery stores, clothing stores, book stores, gas stations. Even through the mails. Cash and carry, no paperwork, no background check, no driver’s license. You just had to look old enough.
Iowa was their best album.
*NEVER MIND: That's Jake's wife beating on the hood of his truck with a 10# sledge after he came home from the Mule Lip Bar in Mingus.
Wrong thread. :(
That darn Jake!
I can see how
That mistake
Could be made.
NP...Thank you for getting my thread into double digits!
Well, I’m taking my entire Slipknot MP3 collection out to the driveway and wiping it like with a cloth.
