Serene Gregg, president of the American Federation of Government Employees Local 3148, said the Metropolitan Correctional Center is functioning with less than 70 percent of the needed correctional officers, forcing many to work mandatory overtime and 60- or 70-hour workweeks.Gregg said. It wasnt a matter of how it happened or it happening, but it was only a matter of time for it to happen. It was inevitable. Our staff is severely overworked.
Another shining example of severe incompetence of unions and a nice touch from the union thug boss blaming society and our unwillingness to hire more union losers and pay them more. Unions should be illegal, they are worthless and the members are lazy fools.

The guards should then be charged with voluntary manslaughter.

They had ONE simple job.
THIS is da gummint who will manage all the healthcare of ALL citizens..?
That would be challenging even for a prison management GENIUS —we have the retards.

THIS is da gummint who will manage all the healthcare of ALL citizens..?Exactly, I can hear the union boss now saying the patient died because their staff was overworked and they had a teacher doing the heart transplant, oh well, they need more money.

“...only a matter of time...”
Not buying this Gregg; how convenient that the “matter-of-time” was perfect timing for the demise of a prize witness against the Clintons and others.
Anyone fooled by this explanation wants to be fooled.

Since there were two guards that were supposed to be checking....and the fact that his "mandatory" cell companion was removed a couple days before.....
IMHO....this was indeed a conspiracy.
Now let's take a look at the warden and who ordered his cellmate to be removed.
To: 1Old Pro
Wait. I thought they found him unresponsive on the floor.

Millions of people (like myself) worked 60-70 hours a week....and “do their job” well.

Epstein’s lawyer (yes, and his mother) should be front and center demanding answers.

IMHO....this was indeed a conspiracy. And so easy to blame it on union incompetence, hey we expect this sort of thing from gov't workers.

Ummm...hanging from what?
Why would someone just off suicide watch [cough cough] be in a cell with anything to hang from?

It would be interesting to know the wage of the prison guards who were supposedly working their 5th straight day of overtime at the fed facility, and how much they normally make in overtime pay beyond their regular wage.

This isn’t union incompetence, they broke every rule to allow this to happen, my guess is so a cleanup squad could kill him.

...found hanging in his cell Saturday...
I wish they’d explain the mechanics of this, not out of ghoulish curiosity, but because it simply doesn’t make sense. You can’t hang yourself if there’s nothing to tie to.

I recall one NYC subway worker made $344,000 in overtime per year. I wonder if these guys are making hundreds of thousands in overtime, or even tens of thousands. They really might not want to be ‘fully staffed.’
