I know one thing, it we hand the country over to the Dems, they have NO PLANS to play nice with us anymore or even try for our votes - so yes, they won’t bother with red flags, they’ll simply TAKE THE GUNS, ALL OF THEM, and with the National Popular Vote, PR and DC Statehood, wide open Voter Fraud - they won’t have a reason to play nice or ever worry about losing again. I guess we can move to Idaho and hold out for a year or two, as they will require a bit of staging before making their assault on us. I guess.
As to ‘trusting the Republicans’ to repeal a red flag law on their own, I actually do agree with you. They won’t. But at least there is a DAMN GOOD CHANCE that we’ll have RGB replaced on the Supreme Court, along with flipping another seat. Give 7-2 on the Supreme Court, and IF Trump does a good job in filling the seats (do you really think AOC will do a better job), then there it becomes VERY LIKELY that any red flag laws will be overturned or at least severely restricted, if they’re shown to step on 2nd Amendment Rights.
Again...none of the above happens if we let the Democrats, today’s Democrats, led by AOC, have the country - and only because of a relative handful of RINOs. So my advice to you - start looking at land in Idaho.

You can’t see the forest for the trees. We’re going lose our gun rights when Florida and Texas turn blue. That will happen because the GOP has lied to us for 30 years about wanting a secure border. And they were never held accountable because of the exact “the GOP are better than Democrats” attitude you are advocating. How did that work out in California? How are gun rights in CA these days?
Well at least the charade will collapse and we’ll know that it’s time for the final box to be put into use. In all honesty, Trump’s win was a bit of a fluke, and caught the elites by surprise, so don’t expect that to happen again.
Just look at precincts that have more votes cast than registered voters, and when they all Democrat votes, the Republican Party basically shrugs it shoulders.
As for effectiveness of the Republicans when they do have the majority, what happens....not much but maintenance of the status quo, and Trump has disrupted that apple cart; which means there are Pubbies that want him gone as well.
I’m not registering or giving up squat. So even if something does pass since the 2nd Amendment doesn’t give me anything. But as I said, perhaps there needs to a major wake up call to really show everyone how much in trouble the Republic truly is.
