As to trusting the Republicans to repeal a red flag law on their own, I actually do agree with you. They wont. But at least there is a DAMN GOOD CHANCE that well have RGB replaced on the Supreme Court, along with flipping another seat. Give 7-2 on the Supreme Court, and IF Trump does a good job in filling the seats (do you really think AOC will do a better job), then there it becomes VERY LIKELY that any red flag laws will be overturned or at least severely restricted, if theyre shown to step on 2nd Amendment Rights.
Again...none of the above happens if we let the Democrats, todays Democrats, led by AOC, have the country - and only because of a relative handful of RINOs. So my advice to you - start looking at land in Idaho.
Was it a Democrat who gave us Souter. I am not going to count my Kavanaugh chickens until they hatch.
You can’t see the forest for the trees. We’re going lose our gun rights when Florida and Texas turn blue. That will happen because the GOP has lied to us for 30 years about wanting a secure border. And they were never held accountable because of the exact “the GOP are better than Democrats” attitude you are advocating. How did that work out in California? How are gun rights in CA these days?
“Was it a Democrat who gave us Souter. I am not going to count my Kavanaugh chickens until they hatch.”
Sure, but how many Scalia’s and Thomases have we gotten from Democrats? Do you REALLY THINK that there can be a happy ending for our side if we let AOC and her clan populate the courts.
Give me 7 or 8 justices who are with us 85% of the time, and we’ll win VIRTUALLY EVERY CASE...even with more Kavenaughs (but God forbid we get another Souter...but he is the ONLY hard-leftist that any Republican has appointed since after Nixon - even Sandra Dee was somewhat conservative at the beginning, and still not a flaming Leftist when she retired...much better than RGB, for example).
“How are gun rights in California these days”?
They pretty much SUCK, that’s why I ignore them!
There is a USSC gun control case coming in this coming autumn.
If we get Hardiman as a Supreme Court nominee, maybe. If Trump follows the *it's a woman's position, so you have to replace her with Amy Coney Barrett or Britt Grant*, don't hold your breath. The fix is in.
