Hollywood Hate Exposed In The Hunt
Townhall.com ^ | August 11, 2019 | Jeff Crouere

Posted on 08/11/2019 10:25:23 AM PDT by Kaslin

Hollywood hates conservatives so much that it planned to release The Hunt, a movie about a group of liberal elitists killing 12 unlucky “deplorables” for sport. In the movie, the hunters travel to an exotic vacation spot where they attempt to kill their unlucky conservative prey. The premise of this sick and twisted movie is so outrageous that advertisements were banned by ESPN, a very liberal network.

It was set for release on September 27; however, the backlash was so intense that Universal Pictures decided to “cancel our plans to release the film.” With the announcement, conservatives scored a rare victory over the Hollywood elite. For decades, the film industry has been a bastion of support for Democratic Party candidates. Hollywood titans regularly hold massive fundraisers for presidential candidates such as former Vice President Joe Biden.

In their movies, this politically correct industry depicts liberals as heroes and conservatives as idiots and villains. Surely, more of the same narrative was in store for viewers of The Hunt. Fortunately, for the time being, the country will be spared another heavy-handed political message masquerading as “entertainment.”

Delaying the film’s release was also a reprieve for the family members of the innocent victims of the recent massacres in California, Ohio and Texas, who need time to grieve. It was especially unfortunate that several weeks after over 30 innocent people were killed and dozens of other people were injured by maniacal gunmen, Universal Pictures was planning to release a movie about a group of conservatives being gunned down by liberal adversaries.

On Friday, President Donald Trump joined many other critics in condemning the movie. He tweeted that The Hunt was “made in order to inflame and cause chaos.” Of course, he is exactly right as the movie was produced by super liberal Jason Blum, who is responsible for a variety of left-wing movies such as Get Out and The Purge. He also produced a seven-episode series, The Loudest Voice, that is currently airing on Showtime. Not surprisingly, the series features Russell Crowe in a very negative portrayal of Roger Ailes, the late Chairman and CEO of Fox News.

Last year, Blum took advantage of an appearance at the Israeli Film Festival in Los Angeles to condemn President Trump for “the rise of anti-Semitism.” Such ridiculous remarks are typical among the Hollywood elite, who continually overlook the President’s vigorous support of Israeli and the fact that his beloved daughter and son-in-law are Jewish.

An anti-Semite would not have made courageous decisions such as President Trump moving the American embassy to Jerusalem or supporting Israeli claims to the Golan Heights. In fact, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised President Trump for “outstanding support and incredible friendship.” He also noted that “Under your leadership, we’ve made the alliance between our two remarkable countries stronger than ever.” Clearly, President Trump is not an anti-Semite, but the best friend Israeli has ever had in the White House.

Blum is one of the countless liberals in Hollywood who express their slanted political views in their projects, which are generously funded by the industry. In contrast, conservatives must stay quiet in Hollywood or risk becoming unemployable. One of the rare exceptions is Jon Voight, who recently produced a short video praising President Trump.

While most conservative film stars, such as James Woods, have limited options for employment, conservative film producers struggle to find funding for their projects. Instead, crackpot movies like The Hunt are generously supported by an industry with a hard-left agenda.

Executives at Universal Pictures may still decide to release the movie later in the year. Let’s hope it never receives a mass distribution for any “satire” which portrays innocent people being killed for their ideological beliefs is inflammatory to say the least.

The movie is billed as “entertainment,” but, obviously represents the fantasy of many in Hollywood for “deplorables” to be eliminated. It was the dreaded “deplorables” who elected Donald Trump as President and caused so much heartache for liberal Hollywood. Eliminating such people in The Hunt is just the type of “satire” some of these vile leftists want to see on screen.

Only sick Hollywood executives could create such a movie and try to market it to millions of Americans. This is another reminder that this industry regularly introduces filth into our culture.

This is an industry that is constantly preaching about the evils of guns and the epidemic of gun violence. Yet, all too often, Hollywood produces movies and television shows that are riddled with gore and bloodshed.

Many of the major stars who use social media to decry gun violence appear in movies brandishing high powered weapons and committing horrific acts of violence. This is an industry that bears some responsibility for the violence in our society today, but instead of accepting blame it is always pointing fingers at the NRA and Republican politicians such as President Trump.

Hypocrisy thy name is Hollywood.

The venom expressed in using the term "deplorables" to describe good and decent fellow Americans who exercised their Creator-endowed right to freedom of the mind must, accurately, be attributed to the depraved and bitter mind of that once-Presidential-candidate Hillary Clinton!

"Almighty God hath created the mind free, and manifested His supreme will that free it shall remain by making it altogether insusceptible of restraint. [* * *] All attempts to influence it by temporal punishments or burthens, or by civil incapacitations, tend only to beget habits of hypocrisy and meanness, and are a departure from the plan of the Holy Author of our religion, who, being Lord both of body and mind, yet chose not to propagate it by coercions on either, as was in his Almighty power to do, but to exalt it by its influence on reason alone." - Thomas Jefferson, TITLE: Statute of Religious Freedom. Well one thing seems clear, it’s got a lot of people curious and it likely to get more viewers now than it would have before anyone knew it was controversial. I don’t think Hollywood cares about airing ghastly things, because didn’t a movie about the Manson family come out?

I could see them not releasing something that made lefty elites look bad and became a rallying cry. I could see them engaging in creative marketing. Under no circumstances could I see a movie being pulled because it hurt deplorable’s feelings.

It will be released — in October 2020, probably.

'Wolf of Wall Street' Hollywood producer charged with
laundering $248 million in Malaysia 1MDB scandal

Associated Press Jul. 5, 2019

Hollywood producer Riza Aziz pleaded not guilty on Friday to laundering $248 million from a Malaysian state investment fund in the 1MDB scandal. He is the stepson of Malaysia's former prime minister, and produced the movie "The Wolf of Wall Street" with his production company, Red Granite Pictures Inc. His stepfather and mother have been charged in the scandal, too, while his sister is defending Aziz and saying he's innocent. (Visit BusinessInsider.com for more stories.)

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) — "The Wolf of Wall Street" producer and stepson of Malaysia's former prime minister pleaded not guilty on Friday to laundering $248 million from a state investment fund, becoming the third person in his family charged in the 1MDB scandal that helped end Najib Razak's government last year. Riza Aziz was solemn as he appeared in court to be charged with receiving the illicit funds between 2011 and 2012 in the US and Singapore.

The charge sheets said the money was misappropriated from 1MDB and channeled into bank accounts of Riza's company Red Granite Pictures Inc., which produced films including the Martin Scorsese-directed film starring Leonardo DiCaprio. The 2013 film was nominated for five Academy Awards, including best picture. (Read more: The bizarre story of the 1MDB scandal--link at web site.)

Actor Leonardo DiCaprio, in his role as Jordan Belfort in the 2013 film, "The Wolf of Wall Street." Paramount Pictures The money was transferred from Swiss bank accounts of two companies US investigators identified as being linked to 1MDB into Red Granite's accounts in the United States and Singapore, according to the charge sheets describing the evidence.

Riza, 42, was released on bail. He was charged with five counts of money laundering and could face up to five years in prison, a fine or both, on each count if he is convicted. Aziz's stepfather and mother have been charged in the scandal, too, and are also pleading not guilty Najib set up the 1MDB fund to finance development in Malaysia when he took office in 2009, but it accumulated billions in debts and US investigators allege at least $4.5 billion was stolen from the fund and laundered by Najib's associates.

Public anger over the alleged corruption contributed to the shocking election defeat of Najib's long-ruling coalition in May 2018, and the new government reopened investigations that had been stifled while Najib was in office. Najib is currently on trial for alleged criminal breach of trust, abuse of power and money laundering linked to 1MDB. He denies the charges. His wife and Riza's mother, Rosmah Mansor, also has pleaded not guilty to money laundering and tax evasion related to 1MDB but her trial date has not been set.

Riza's arraignment came a year after he was questioned by Malaysia's anti-graft agency. US investigators say Red Granite used money stolen from 1MDB to finance Hollywood films. Red Granite has paid the US government $60 million to settle claims it benefited from the 1MDB scandal, and the US returned the money to Malaysia. Riza's sister, Nooryana Najwa, has slammed the legal action against her brother. "Despite the settlement in the US and the fact that alleged wrongdoings occurred entirely outside of Malaysia, the MACC decides to press charges after a whole year of leaving this case in cold storage. He is not a criminal," she wrote on Instagram, accompanied by a picture of her with Riza taken before his arrest.

Well yeah, maybe one or 2 on your list but I never saw All the Presidents Men or Avatar or Reds (tried watching it years ago but was bored to death, or the Front. I’m not sure Seven Days in May was liberal at all. It is not “Liberal” to stop a crazy General from blowing up the world.

Strangelove was just to satirically funny to be considered at all political.

THIS JUST IN-movie producers (gag) Barack and Michelle are ready with the release of their first Netflix film---
the Netflix deal was said to be worth $65 million.

Where did the near-bankrupt Neflix get the money for the rich Obama deal?

BTW, if Hollywood is itching to give the Obamas an Academy Award for their movie....they better think again.

The Cold, Hard Math Says Netflix Could Crash 70%

It’s official... it’s the beginning of the end for Netflix (NFLX). As you may have heard, the online video company made a troubling announcement... This quarter, for the first time ever, it lost American subscribers. Hundreds of thousands of them. The stock plunged more than 11% on the news. I’ve been “sounding the alarm” on Netflix’s troubled business since last July when its stock was trading above $400. (Excerpt) Read more at forbes.com ...

Just sayin'......Freepers were on the case back in Aug 2018.
Susan Rice got a cushy do-nothing seat on the Board of Netflix.

REFERENCE-—The multi-year Obama/Netflix agreement, in the works since at least March, calls on the Obamas “to produce a diverse mix of content, including the potential for scripted series, unscripted series, docuseries, documentaries and features,” which will be broadcast in 190 countries, according to a statement from the streaming service, which has 125 million subscribers around the globe. Netflix received hundreds of résumés and story ideas after announcing the partnership, the source said.

The kindly, compassionate Obamas plan to work on stories that “promote greater empathy and understanding between peoples and help them share their stories with the entire world.”

Netflix says the couple formed Higher Ground Productions LLC to broker the deal. A firm with that name was incorporated in Delaware in April, public records show.

The contract comes a year after the Obamas inked a joint book deal with Penguin Random House valued in excess of $65 million. The first of the deal’s planned books, Michelle Obama’s memoir, “Becoming,” is due out in November.
Since leaving office, Barack Obama has addressed groups across the country, speaking about grassroots organizing and the problems of the poor.

People who retain Obama for talks pay a steep price. After a speech at a health care conference sponsored by Wall Street firm Cantor Fitzgerald in September, Obama reportedly took home $400,000.

In addition to raking in millions on these ventures, the former first couple has been involved in fundraising for the Obama (cough) Foundation, which is developing a $500 million presidential center and library in Chicago.

The Obama (cough) Foundation took in more than $13 million in 2016, an exponential increase from just under $2 million the previous year, federal filings show.

Several versions of Most Dangerous Game were done in classic radio days, and in the mid-1960’s was the basis for a Man from UNCLE episode. Once again Hollywood has no original ideas anymore.

Ice Tea was in such a movie. Wealthy guys place a skid row bum into the woods of the Pacific North West and begin to hunt the bum. Ice Tea kills them all save one who escapes back to the big city of NY, Philly, or whatever. Ice Tea rides a motorcycle 🏍 back to the big city and offs the big rich bad guy.

It is not “Liberal” to stop a crazy General from blowing up the world.

In the context of the movie, the implication was that conservatives of the time were the "crazy generals". The writers of the time would have no problem re-writing things to make a Donald Trump type a stand-in for Gentleman Jim Corbett. The old lefty movies were usually more subtle in their presentation. I excluded "High Noon" from the list, but at the time it was considered anti-McCarthy.

> Some other movies of note were also "liberal" in the sense that it dismissed/belittled/relativized the idea of Right and Wrong.

In that way, "The Third Man" is conservative, "Bonnie and Clyde" is not (also put the final nails in the coffin of the Hayes Code). Some very good movies split the difference. "The Sting" has you rooting for the "bad guys", but the given is that the law is on the take, and Gandolf/Hooker are only ripping-off even worse guys.

The modern chaotic movies are certainly not conservative. Here I am thinking of "Pulp Fiction" and "Natural Born Killers".

I believe the hard left is attempting to divide us further. Polls show that they’ve lost Dems to Trump. They want to “teach” conservatives to combine the hard left with “all left” and for us to fear/hate them. They don’t like to see Dems crossing over to Trump and conservatives tolerating lefties. They want to portray us as unusually fearful to the point of reckless violence. Their fake psychological studies falsely claim conservatives are more fearful, distrustful, and therefore more prone to “acting out” or being aggressive.
The left would LOVE to instigate a race war or civil war on Trump’s watch. So, they divide us and fan the flames and root for civil war.

There was a similar movie back in 1995 called The Last Supper about a bunch of liberal sociology grad students inviting conservatives over for supper and poisoning them, one at a time. They'd bury them in the tomato garden. Well, they weren't really so much conservatives as Hollywood's idea of conservatives. One is a racist redneck who turns out to be a murderer himself. One is a priest. One is kind of red pill chauvinist. But it actually gets quite interesting when some of them start going after victims that the others sympathize with. Meanwhile, there's a Rush Limbaugh like character (Ron Perlman) whom they absolutely hate... and he ends up at their table. It has a surprising twist the end that I rather enjoyed.
