Threats that are not specific or “reasonably acted upon” (my emphasis) are not illegal—except against the President.
If I stand on my lawn with a firearm pointed at my neighbor, that is clear and immediate threat—that one might reasonably suggest I “might” carry out. That is bad and probably illegal.
Sitting on my computer and suggesting something bad happen to someone 1,000 miles away—with not manner or evidence of taking steps to make it happen—it, as they say on the streets—just talking shit. That might be stupid, but the jails would be overflowing if we all got arrested for doing it.
Folks need to lighten up. A lot.

And there were how many twitterheads posting 'Trump should be assasinated', or 'I wish someone would kill Trump' posts the past few years ? All with no prosecutions as wishing harm befall someone is not a threat, but a wish was determined not to be criminal.
