That’s good planning because it goes faster than people think. At one of my going away parties we went through 8 gallons of Jim Beam. What if a person had a party and then doomsday hit? You would be down to near nothing and have nothing to trade for extra toilet paper.

Yeah, but other things are more valuable.
When I was stationed on the gulf coast and hurricanes would come in I would lay in a huge supply of batteries.
Then when the power was out for four or five days I could trade batteries for booze.

I made out fairly well.
