Love for the president among the patriots, rebels and crazies at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
...Everywhere you look its Trump, Trump, TrumpDonald Trumps face on merchandise at the dozens of pop-up stores serving the hundreds of thousands of bikers who have come to the Black Hills this week for the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
Each August, topless women parade up Main Street in this town of 7,000, as an endless line of motorcyclists roar back down Lazelle Street. People come to Sturgis from all over the country to be around other lovers of machines and the open road.
A man in a beer barrel waddles through the crowd. Bikers perch dogs, some wearing doggy goggles, on their handlebars...
Even in a weak year the half a million people who come to the Sturgis Rally drop around $800 million. South Dakotas total state budget is only $4.6 billion.
I saw bikers wearing Trump gear like the gear Im wearingbecause under Trump unemployment has gone down and the economy is doing better.
In the 1953 biker movie The Wild One, a waitress asks Marlon Brandos character what he is rebelling against. What do you got? he answers. Bikers are still rebels, only now they are rebelling against a dominant liberal culture that seems dull and prissy, and never liked them anyway.

“A man in a beer barrel waddles through the crowd.”
Sorta like “I can smell the Trump voters” isn’t it? The contempt the WSJ has for us is pretty obvious.
Great Link,
Thanks.
Because nothin can stop my hot rod Lincoln..
Ms. Bottum is a civil-engineering student at the South Dakota School of Mines.
And if the photos that are attached to her name show a very presentable young lady.
And she writes often.

By chance did you read the entire article?
She also writes for The Federalist, a pretty good gig for an undergrad, and since he is studying engineering instear of urinalism, she actually writes coherently:

Always loved that song!
“”She also writes for The Federalist, a pretty good gig for an undergrad, and since he is studying engineering instear of urinalism, she actually writes coherently:””
She - he - she - which is it? I would say “she” did a better job of writing than you managed on just a short post...
Not to worry!

At one time you could watch “A Sunday in Hell” free on youtube? Go for it!!!
I have been to Sturgis three times. The place is loaded with cops - Main Street, Lavelle Street, everywhere. I have never seen a topless woman in town. In Glencoe Campground for sure, but never in town. I call BS on this article.
Since you don’t say when your 3 visits to Sturgis occurred, I’ll guess they were at least later than the 1980s. Before that, it was a more raucous scene that included females being topless. This has been recorded in both still photos and film. Thus the police presence as it exists today to ensure a certain level of decorum is maintained while not inhibiting the free flow of capitalism and tax collections.
I have also been there a couple of times.
Absolute minimum tops and flashers, but that was years ago.
And the crowds so tight, you could not tell if a cop or not???
Thanks for the link!
