I suppose not many people believe he may have actually just killed himself but I would not rule it out. He had every reason to want to die rather than serve life, and prison officials are hardly known to be competent.
What I don’t get is why he didn’t flee the country like months ago, everyone knew the hammer was about to fall. Same goes for Bernie Maddoff and any other super rich perp, I’d be under an assumed name in GD Brazil or something.
Given how toxic Epstein is (was), I doubt most any nation would’ve taken or allowed him in. Bolsonaro would’ve had him found and deported. He would’ve been like Hyman Roth in “The Godfather II.”
