We’ve had several people post today who have had personal experience with ‘suicide watch’ in various institutions. There appear to be established SOPs, and it is apparently done correctly most of the time.
Obviously, this time, it was NOT.
(On the other hand, now the ‘news’ is telling us that he wasn’t any longer ON ‘suicide watch’...)
Again, not the point. This guy should have been on direct observation just because a claim of Suicide would hurt the Justice System and We The People will completely lose any faith in the system if any harm comes to him. We keep him alive until he is convicted because that’s what we demand of Law Enforcement Professionals Not because this idiot was “worth” keeping alive but because we are a Nation of Laws and our Justice system IS worth it.
