Thomas Massie dismantles the 'who needs 100 rounds?' argument

Some have asked, “who needs 100 rounds?” If 6 brave, trained, and alert police officers with professionally maintained weapons fired 58 rounds to subdue the Dayton shooter, I’d say my wife deserves at least that many chances to protect herself and my kids when I’m not home.

Two spare mags of .40 - I carry 36 rounds.

What good is a firearm if you never train to aim and fire and hit a target?

Better than not having one at all.

They probably need much better training.

The mindset of liberals is ugly. The idea of gun control is to create victoms to be rescued by gubmint.

I don’t trust the government and neither should anyone. That is precisely why the Second Amendment was endorsed so we wouldn’t have a Tienanmen Square here. No unarmed populace subject to an armed government.

Shall not be infringed comes to mind. My father trained me. He fought in the South Pacific during the war. A Marine. I have no certification. Nor will I get one. MOLON LABE.

All gun mass murders have, without exception, one thing in common a human being to pull the trigger of their weapons. When are the liberals going to start clamoring for the abolition of the human race.

100 rounds is the start of a good day at the range.

When I’m asked this question, I reply, “To kill people, in particular, politicians when they become tyrants, their standing armies and their supporters”. That puts an end to the ‘hunting/sporting’ lib argument.

500 rounds is just a regular day at the range, with 20,000 being the regular stash at home. 4 cases of 22 ammo last’s about 6 months.

Roof Koreans need a lot more than a 100 rounds.
Hell, 100 rounds isn’t even a good trip to the range.

She probably couldn’t lift the weapon with a 100 round mag. If she could, I think she would have difficulty holding it up for aim and fire. 30 round mags would be better

who needs 100 rounds?

Because it's cheaper to buy in bulk.

The old Evans Lever action rifle held between 28 and 32 rounds. No complaints back then.

The Henry rifle carried 16 rounds. One Kentucky man, attacked by seven ruffians, manage to get to his rifle and with 8 shots killed all 7 of them within one minute.

No one called for a ban back then.

It is one thing to shoot at a paper target. It is completely different when the target is shooting back. Some if the best shots I know fail miserably in a scenario where the target is shooting back with simunitions. Being a good shot is only a part of winning a gun fight.
